Best NFL Handicapper and Top Sportsbook Preview ESPN MNF |
Nov 23rd, 2009 The top sportsbook Bodog and the top football handicappers at OffshoreInsiders.com each have a preview of the Monday Night Football game between the Texans and Titans. Here is the one-stop shop for both perspectives. We start out with OffshoreInsiders.com Against the spread records: Over/under angles: Houston has gone over 12-3 off straight
up loss and over 8-1 after getting less than 90 yards rushing last game. The Titans are 3-6 straight up and 4-6 to the number but
they’ve won and covered three straight. The Titans average a remarkable 5.3 yards per rush against
teams normally allowing 4.2 but only 5.8 yards per pass to 6.3. However, the
winning streak occurred after Vince Young took over for the inept Kerry
Collins. Defensively the Titans are allowing 4.4 yards per rush
teams versus teams normally getting 4.2 and 6.0 yards per play to 5.8. They allow 4.6 yards per rush to 4.4, 6.6 yards per pass
to 6.4 and 5.8 yards per play to 5.5. Top expert pick on
this game: The Center of the Handicapping Universe GodsTips is 16-8 the
last 24 NFL spread side selections. Our only Wise Guy of the NFL week goes
tonight on Now to Bodog: Houston Texans
will be the latest team to attempt to slow down the NFL’s leading rusher, but
Chris Johnson hopes to carry the Tennessee Titans to a fourth straight victory
in tonight’s AFC South matchup. NFL betting
odds have the Texans listed as a 4-point favorite. Houston needs
victories in order to keep pace in a crowded wild-card race, but a win over the
Titans looks like a much tougher task than it did a few weeks ago. Tennessee has
gotten healthier on defense and regained its confidence after a disastrous
start, going 3-0 since Vince Young replaced Kerry Collins at quarterback. The matchup may
hinge on Houston’s ability to contain Johnson, who has totalled 495 rushing
yards, 136 receiving yards and six touchdowns during the winning streak. Tennessee has
an 8-1 edge in turnover margin during its win streak, with Young playing
responsibly. Tennessee is
5-2 in the city that the former Oilers used to call home. Get your NFL Odds in the Bodog Sportsbook. |
