| MLB Scores: Texas is the Baseball Pick Monday Says Handicapper |
| Jul 19th, 2010 Thanks to sports picks hotter than Crista Flanagan, bettors are dominating the bookmakers.
Free pick from OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Handicapper Matt Rivers for Monday is on the Texas Rangers getting 110 at Detroit according to BetUs
I will gladly back the boys from Texas today at Comerica and not have to really lay anything. Jeremy Bonderman at times is good and can be good here but overall is fairly mediocre and after that last embarrassing winless series in Cleveland Jim Leyland’s team has proven once again to really not be that good.
The Tigers have a great player in Miguel Cabrera and a bunch of mediocre players after that. Magglio Ordonez is not what he once was, Brandon Inge and Johnny Damon are very average and even if Brennan Boesch has had a nice little season the guy comes far from scaring me.
I’m not going to proclaim Scott Feldman as any ace stud at all but he should be good enough for his far superior offense to give him the run support he needs. The Rangers just upset Jon Lester yesterday to take the series in Fenway fairly easily. Take out that lost four game series before the All-Star break against the Orioles and Ron Washington’s team is just cruising. The Rangers become more and more legit by the day and now more than halfway into the season are looking like the team that is going to win the AL West.
Hamilton and Vlad have been superb this season and then you have All-Star talent with Cruz, Andrus, Young and Kinsler helping out forming arguably the most dangerous offense in baseball.
Two mediocre fairly equal pitchers and one far better offense. I’ll back that better offense, even if on the road, in a comp play today.
The pick: Texas +110 at Bodog
For more information: I feel a whole heck of a lot better now after sweeping the board on Sunday with the 300,000* Mets and 200,000* Twins who came back in amazing fashion. Now I am going to ride that momentum and prove why I am the best there is and has ever been in this racket.
Two more winners on Monday including a Raising of the Bar 400,000* NL West Game of the Year between the Giants and Dodgers along with a bonus 200,000* from Wrigley involving the Astros and Cubs. Click now to purchase

| College Football Odds: Alabama Favorite in SEC Followed By Florida, Auburn, and Georgia |
| Jul 19th, 2010 Defending National Champions the Alabama Crimson Tide are heavily favorite to win the SEC Championship again this year. The Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers, and Georgia Bulldogs are expected to give them a run according to the sportsbooks.
Courtesy of OddsShark.com: Today in the Daily Sports Roundup: The O’s play host to the Rays in Baltimore, and the Rockies send their Cy Young candidate to the mound on the road against the Marlins.
Meeting up on the diamond . . .
The American League schedule for Monday has Texas at Detroit, Cleveland at Minnesota, Toronto at Kansas City, Boston at Oakland, the White Sox at Seattle, and Tampa Bay at Baltimore. Wade Davis (6-9, 4.69 ERA) is slated to take on Chris Tillman (1-3, 5.64 ERA) in that Rays/Orioles matchup. Righthander Davis got back into the win column last time out, holding the Indians to two runs on four hits over seven innings of work; Davis had last picked up a win on May 29. Righthander Tillman earned his first victory of the season in his last trip the mound, surrendering just one unearned run on two hits over 7 1-3 innings of work against the Rangers. Tillman fanned three that game.
Over in the National League on Monday it’ll be Philadelphia at St. Louis, Milwaukee at Pittsburgh, Washington at Cincinnati, Houston at the Cubs, the Mets at Arizona, San Francisco at the Dodgers, and Colorado at Florida. The Rockies’ Ubaldo Jimenez (15-1, 2.20 ERA) will match up against the Marlins’ Anibal Sanchez (7-6, 3.66 ERA) in that last contest. Righthander Jimenez earned his 15th win of the season in his last trip to the mound, holding the Cardinals to one run on three hits over his eight innings of work; Jimenez fanned six in that outing. Righthander Sanchez is coming off a loss to the Diamondbacks in which he gave up six runs (five earned) on nine hits over four innings.

| CFL Odds: Grey Cup 2010 Lines Up |
| Jul 19th, 2010 The Canadian Football League’s 2010 season is underway but it’s still young – young enough that we can make money on some educated football futures bets. Here’s a look at all the teams to consider at your sportsbook.
MONTREAL ALOUETTES (+175 to win Grey Cup)
Montreal has the league’s most consistently dangerous offensive weapon, Anthony Calvillo, taking snaps. He’s quietly fourth all-time in professional football passing yards behind Damon Allen, Warren Moon and Brett Favre. The Als’ schedule was supposed to be vicious, opening with three straight Western road games, but they won two of those. Go figure.
SASKATCHEWAN ROUGHRIDERS (+275 to win Grey Cup)
Opening the year 3-0, the Riders look like a team possessed. That’s no surprise considering they had their hearts broken by a too many men penalty in the Grey Cup last year against Montreal. They’ve been dominant so far and quarterback Darian Durant hasn’t even gotten going yet.
B.C. LIONS (+500 to win Grey Cup)
So far, the Lions look like they’ll waste your money if you bet on them, having dropped consecutive home games. Casey Printers was supposed to dominate the league after returning from a failed NFL stint but he hasn’t rediscovered his magic. He’s just 2-6 since rejoining B.C. last season and his rating this season is 75.5. My betting advice is to avoid the Lions.
CALGARY STAMPEDERS (+500 to win Grey Cup)
The Stamps look decent so far, starting 2-1 despite some tough road games, but can they overcome their offseason departures? Jermaine Copeland was a big part of their offense for years. Not sure if they can keep pace with Montreal or Saskatchewan offensively.
HAMILTON TIGER-CATS (+800 to win Grey Cup)
Can the Ti-Cats continue their climb back to respectability? They hosted a playoff game for the first time since 2001 last year and looked sharp in Week 3. Kevin Glenn completed his first 14 pass attempts and looks ready to take the reins and keep Hamilton in the postseason picture.
EDMONTON ESKIMOS (+1000 to win Grey Cup)
Are the Eskies set to become the West whipping boy this season? They’re 0-3 and their most recent loss came because they choked in a very winnable game against Saskatchewan. It seems like Edmonton is on the decline.
WINNIPEG BLUE BOMBERS (+1200 to win Grey Cup)
2010 looks like a rebuilding year for the Bombers. They struggled last year and have a new coach, general manager and quarterback (s). Buck Pierce got hurt so they’ll turn to Steven Jyles now.
TORONTO ARGONAUTS (+3000 to win Grey Cup)
I know the Argos were bad last year, but sports betting fans have to question the +3000 odds. Could they really be that far behind the competition in an eight-team league? They’ve already surged to a 2-1 record. Given how unpredictable the CFL can be, bettors have to consider taking the flier on Toronto.
Free pick
The safe bet is probably Saskatchewan this year. Calvillo’s age has to catch up to him eventually in Montreal and no team will be more driven than the Roughriders after last year’s heartbreak. The adventurous bettor should swing for the fences with Toronto. Why not?

| MLB Betting – Yankees, Angels Square Off In The Bronx |
| Jul 19th, 2010
Those betting on college football will always be wary of a West Coast team going to the East, and vice versa, and in Major League Baseball, it’s the same story as the Los Angeles Angels will head to New York to battle the Yankees. Their starting pitcher is very familiar with the Bronx Bombers.
Angels Yankees Betting – Tuesday, July 20, 7:05 PM ET
Scott Kazmir (7-9, 6.92) is coming off the disabled list with a sore shoulder, and he’s lost his last four starts, so it’s not even certain for sure if he’ll be ready for this game. He was left in the game far too long in a 15-1 loss at Oakland as Kazmir was tagged for 13 runs on 11 hits, walking three batters and striking out a pair. It was also the second straight outing that he had given up three homers, so maybe it’s for the best that he sit this one out. Kazmir is 7-6 in 17 games against the Yankees, and most of these outings came when he was in Tampa Bay. Most NFL football betting players would like to see their team keep their quarterback out if he’s hurt, and the Angels could replace him with youngster Sean O’Sullivan
Phil Hughes (11-2, 3.65) is making his first start of the second half, and he had some good stuff in a 6-1 win at Seattle, allowing a run on six hits over seven innings. Hughes struck out five and didn’t walk a single batter, and the 24-year-old is showing why the Yankees were adamant not to include him in trade talks over Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee last season. Hughes has faced the Angels five times, including two starts, and he’s 3-0 with a 4.70 ERA, along with a pair of blown saves.
The Yankees will be favored at home by MLB betting odds, regardless of who is on the hill for the Angels, who have dropped eight of their last 10 in New York, including two of three in April. Kazmir has the experience, but not the arm. O’Sullivan has the arm, but this would be his first major-league start: in the new Yankee Stadium, against the best team in baseball and defending World Series champions. Can anyone say, “pressure”? Hughes has been a beast at Yankee Stadium in 2010, going 6-1 in nine starts with a 4.72 ERA, and he’s well rested. The Angels won three of four at home against Seattle, but heading east to New York is a different ballgame, literally and figuratively. The Yankees are coming off a series win over Tampa Bay in a battle of the best teams in baseball, and they’ll roll over the Angels on Tuesday.
